Update: Important Update Regarding Shipments to the EU
Effective July 1, new regulations are in place for shipments to the European Union. Please review the following regional changes:
- Germany: Germany is no longer accepting IOSS DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) parcels valued at less than €150.
- Please note that if we receive IOSS DDU shipments bound for Germany, they will be returned. We highly recommend sending these shipments via a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) solution moving forward.
- France: France-bound IOSS DDU parcels will be accepted through the end of July. These shipments will be subject to a new €3 HS Code fee, as well as any additional handling fees.
Our Recommendation
Given the new regulations and to help promote a smoother delivery experience for cross-border shipments to the EU, we highly recommend utilizing our GlobalPost Plus and GlobalPost Plus Duties & Taxes Included services, and including your IOSS.
Shippers who choose to continue using IOSS DDU for parcels valued below €150 may experience customs delays, potential returns, or additional customs fees. Any customs fees that GlobalPost receives will be passed on to our customers.
