Rep of Korea – Fire
Update: Korea Post, wishes to inform Union that, as of 17 October 2025, there are no longer any delays to its postal operations resulting from the recent fire. However, the issue with its international mail inquiry centre remains, as tracking information for all inbound and outbound international mail between 23 June and 26 September 2025 has still not been recovered. Since it still cannot check the status of items sent or received during that period, Korea Post is unable to process CN 17 requests until further notice. Korea Post thanks all for their understanding.
Update: The designated operator of the Rep. of Korea, Korea Post, wishes to inform that a fire on 26 September 2025 at a major national server facility has disrupted the entire postal system. The damage from the fire is significant, and full recovery is not expected in the short term.
Therefore, Korea Post is facing limitations in meeting quality of service standards for all items (letter post, parcel post and EMS). Owing to the inability to verify the status of items, CN 17 requests may not be possible until further notice. All Korea Post service and call centres are affected.
Korea Post thanks all for their understanding.
