Greece – Protest and Heavy Rainfall
Update: Greece, Hellenic Post, wishes to inform that all blockades have been lifted and postal operations have therefore resumed as normal. Hellenic Post thanks all for their understanding.
Update: Greece remains effectively divided due to ongoing farmers’ protests. The Athens-Thessaloniki national highway has been blocked by protesting farmers using tractors.
Police have implemented traffic diversions across several routes to mitigate the impact of these blockades. As a result, transport and delivery schedules across the country may experience delays of 24 to 72 hours.
Due to the severe rainfall in Attica, Peloponnese, Central Greece, and Evia, as well as the disruptions caused to the road network and the resulting flooding, there will be delays of up to 48 hours in deliveries and pickups in the areas affected by these conditions. Expected delay: 3-5 days.
