How can I purchase a shipping label using GlobalPost?

What is the difference between GlobalPost Economy International, GlobalPost Standard International, GlobalPost Plus and GlobalPost Go?

  • GlobalPost Economy International is a cost-efficient international shipping service available for parcels up to 4.4 lbs. that offers tracking into the destination country. It ships to over 220 countries, and buyers are responsible for taxes and duties (DDU – Delivered Duties Unpaid).
  • GlobalPost Standard International includes delivery confirmation (i.e. door-to-door tracking) and is available for parcels ups to 70 lbs. It ships to over 220 countries, and buyers are responsible for taxes and duties (DDU).
  • GlobalPost Plus is an international DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) service for shipments up to 66 lbs from the United States to Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, the U.K., Ireland, and the Netherlands means that the shipper is responsible for taxes and duties.
  • GlobalPost Go offers a competitive flat rate for shipments to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong for packages up to 2 lbs. Tracking is door-to-door, with a $200 maximum value of goods and up to $200 coverage against loss or damage. All duties, taxes, and shipping costs are included.
Is there a minimum number of packages I must ship?

No, there is no minimum requirement for shipping with GlobalPost internationally. Whether you’re sending one package a week or hundreds a day, our competitive rates are designed to suit all volumes. If you regularly ship at least five international shipments per day, you could qualify for up to 30% off through our SmartSaver programs, which include options for pickup, ship-in, or drop-off of your consolidated shipments to our processing facilities.
For cost-effective domestic shipping via GlobalPost’s SmartSaver program, a minimum daily volume of 50+ shipments is necessary for our Edge service and 300+ for Parcel Select.

What countries does GlobalPost ship to?

How are GlobalPost packages tracked?

GlobalPost tracking capabilities depend on the shipping service purchased.

Economy International: Offers door-to-country tracking updates for your package’s journey up until it reaches the destination country and clears customs.

Standard International, Plus, and Go: Full door-to-door tracking is provided, including a final update upon delivery to the buyer.

Do I need to include Customs Forms on a GlobalPost package?

No. GlobalPost takes the hassle out of international shipping by handling this part for you. At the GlobalPost Shipping Center, our team will apply the necessary international shipping labels and customs form to each package using the information you provided.

Are there any restrictions when shipping with GlobalPost?

GlobalPost Prohibited & Restricted Items

Certain items may not be eligible for shipment using our services. Eligible shipment items and quantities are generally governed by the origin and destination country’s postal regulations, import and export laws, rules and regulations, and our third party shipping and transportation providers’ rules and regulations. It is your responsibility to comply with all laws, rules and regulations related to your shipment. Ineligible items may be returned, seized, destroyed or disposed of.

Ineligible items include any goods which are prohibited by law or regulation, or any hazardous materials, dangerous goods or other items which are subject to regulation by Title 49 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations or as defined by the USPS https://www.usps.com/international/shipping-restrictions.htm. In addition, you may not use the services to ship any items listed below:

  • Aerosols
  • Air bags
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Ammunition
  • Animals, insects & furs
  • Dry ice
  • Explosives
  • Firearms & other weapons (including imitations or replicas)
  • Gasoline
  • Glues
  • Hazardous materials
  • Hemp-based products (including CBD)
  • Human remains & medical waste

Certain countries and/or third party shipping providers may also restrict the shipment of:

  • Indecent or obscene materials

Can duties and taxes be pre-paid with GlobalPost?

Yes!

GlobalPost Plus allows you to pay duties and tax on parcels shipped to Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and the UK.

You can also prepay tax and duties on parcels sent to Canada via First-Class Mail International, Priority Mail International or Priority Mail Express International. Visit our Canada Delivery Duty Paid page for details.

Finally, our new GlobalPost Go service lets you ship parcels up to 2 lbs to Canada and Australia for a flat fee that’s inclusive of all taxes and duties!
